1. Rumson-Fair Haven (11–6) Last Week: 1

With six straight wins, the Bulldogs are surging at the perfect moment for the Shore Conference Tournament. Rumson-Fair Haven dominated Wall, Bridgewater-Raritan, and Moorestown, powering their way to a flawless 3-0 week.

Senior Luke Lydon is firmly in contention for the Shore Sports Insider Player of the Year with 75 points (37 G, 38 A). Senior Joseph Whitehouse has also been exceptional with 55 points (34 G, 21 A).

The Bulldogs earned the number two seed in the Shore Conference Tournament due to a one-goal loss to CBA in the regular season. If they can run the table, there is a very strong chance they will have a chance to avenge that defeat and prove that their healthier, final form is the best in the Shore Conference.

2. CBA (12–5) Last Week: 2

The Colts are undefeated in May, posting wins over Hun and Shore last week.

Sophomore Danny Varone leads with 39 goals and eight assists. Senior goalie Shayne Boresen stands out with 169 saves and 111 goals allowed. Junior John Little excels at the face-off X, winning 78%.

CBA earned the top seed in the Shore Conference Tournament. The Colts can prove the rankings wrong and reclaim the number one spot with a championship run.

3. Southern (13-3) Last Week: 3

The Rams rebounded from a one-goal loss to Ocean City by routing Red Bank and Mainland in consecutive games.

Junior goalie Nick Hughes has been unreal in the net with 160 saves to 69 goals allowed, putting himself in contention for Shore Sports Insider’s Specialist of the Year. Junior Kyle Sininsky continues to perform as one of the top two-way weapons in the Shore Conference with 71 points (45G, 26A). Shea O’Donnell has been an electrifying scorer, tallying 43 goals and 20 assists.

Southern’s path to the Shore Conference Tournament finals as the number three seed likely includes a matchup with Shore, which it beat 10-2 early in the season, and Rumson-Fair Haven, which it lost to by one goal.

4. Holmdel (13–3) Last Week: 4

The Hornets ripped off three wins this week against Manalapan, Barnegat, and Middletown South.

Senior Finnegan Buchan has tallied 78 points (46G, 32A). Senior Jack Cannon remains one of the top distributors in the Shore Conference with 42 assists.

Holmdel earned the number four seed in the Shore Conference Tournament. The Hornets’ path to the final is likely to include two teams they defeated in the regular season: Manasquan and top-seeded CBA.

5. Manasquan (7-5) Last Week: 6

Manasquan has created some slight separation in the next three slots, with its three-game winning streak. The Warriors earned road victories against Toms River East and Wall this week.

Senior Jack O’Reilly leads the team with 33 points (22G, 11A). Junior Dax Klein has 25 points (18G, 7A). Junior goalie MJ Femenella has saved 109 shots and allowed 87 goals.

The Warriors earned the fifth seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will face either 12th-seeded Point Boro or 13th-seeded Red Bank Catholic in the second round, depending on the winner of their opening-round matchup.

6. Red Bank (9-7) Last Week: 5

Red Bank went 2-1 on the week, sandwiching a pair of wins over Middletown North and St. Peter’s Prep around a 16-2 loss to Southern.

Junior Justin Valentino’s point total is up to 74 with 44 goals and 30 assists.

The Bucs, who earned the number seven seed in the Shore Conference Tournament, will host the winner of (10) Middletown South and (15) Howell in the second round.

7. Shore (6-5) Last Week: 7

The Blue Devils edged Peddie by one goal before dropping a 16-6 game against CBA.

Senior Reid Spallone leads the team with 43 points (26G, 17A).

The sixth-seeded Blue Devils will host the winner of (11) Toms River East and (14) Ocean in the second round of the Shore Conference Tournament.

8. Wall (6-10) Last Week: 8

The Crimson Knights experienced two setbacks this week, with a lopsided loss against top-ranked Rumson-Fair Haven, which was followed by a narrow loss to rival Manasquan.

Senior Patrick Freud registered his 100th career goal in the loss to Manasquan and is up to 32 goals and 25 assists on the season. Senior Wyatt Capro has 31 goals and 13 assists.

After one final tune-up game against Livingston, Wall, who earned the eight-seed, will host the winner of (9) Manalapan and (16) Barnegat in the Shore Conference Tournament.

9. Manalapan (9-4) Last Week: No. 9

The Braves dropped a pair of games against Holmdel and St. Joseph (Met.) before rebounding with a victory over district rival Freehold Township.

Senior goalie Connor Doel has saved 155 shots and allowed only 78 goals. Junior Ryan Seybuck has 24 goals and 17 assists.

The Braves earned the nine-seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will have to defeat Barnegat in order to earn another shot against an American Division team.

10. Middletown South (8-6) Last Week: 10

The Eagles dropped a pair of games against Holmdel and Monroe this past week, narrowly holding on to the final spot in the rankings. Middletown South has defeated the majority of teams in contention behind it, with the only team with a real argument to take this spot being Toms River East, whose only eight losses are to American Division teams.

Senior Jackson O’Keefe has a team-leading 67 points, while senior Luke Gaffney is right behind with 63 points. Freshman Forrest Black is at the forefront of the Freshman of the Year award race with 48 points.

The Eagles earned the 10-seed in the Shore Conference Tournament and will host Howell.
