April 28-May 3

 

RyAnn Dunn, Sr., Central

Dunn earns another nomination after a week in which she helped lead the Golden Eagles to a Colonial Division title and also scored her 100th career goal. She sank 6 shots in a win over Middletown North and followed that up with 2 goals, 3 assists, and 6 ground balls in an epic 9-8 victory over Point Boro to clinch the division championship. The senior also scored 3 goals and distributed an assist in a loss to Lacey.

 

Chloe Keating, Jr., Red Bank

Keating scored her 100th career goal on her final goal of the week. She netted a hat trick in a loss to Trinity Hall before scoring 5 goals and tallying an assist against Wall and then finishing the week with 5 more goals in a win against Toms River North.

 

Maddie Koehler, Jr., Donovan Catholic

Koehler earned another nomination largely due to a 15 goal and 3 assist explosion in a win over St. Rose. She earned 14 draw controls and 7 ground balls in the same game. Although the Griffins lost the 2 games that followed, Koehler scored 4 goals against the Spartans and 4 goals and an assist against the Rebels. The junior currently has 139 career goals and 39 assists.

 

Madeline Krohn, Sr., Toms River South

Krohn sank 6 shots and distributed 2 assists in a win over Ocean. She followed that up with 4 goals and 4 assists in a win over crosstown rival Toms River North. The Savannah College of Art and Design commit currently sits at 91 goals just 9 shy of the 100 goal mark.

 

Makayla Mitchell, Sr., St. John Vianney

Mitchell put together a terrific week with a combined 15 goals, 5 assists, and 11 ground balls in victories against Neptune, Monmouth, and Middletown North. The Louisville commit is approaching the 200 career goal mark as she currently sits at 181.

 

Mary Catherine O’Connor, Sr., Trinity Hall

O’Connor put together back-to-back offensive performances of 3 goals and 3 assists in convincing victories over Red Bank and Shore who are both ranked in the top 10. The Princeton commit is approaching the 100 goal mark for her career as she sits at 94.

 

Kennedy Poser, Jr., Ranney

Poser’s offensive performances have the Panthers peaking at the right time with a 3 game winning streak. She scored 3 goals in a 6-2 win over Long Branch. Next, in the 1st round of the Prep B Tournament the junior lifted the Panthers past Rutgers Prep as she sank 7 goals and distributed an assist in a 12-6 victory. She finished the week with a 3 goal and 1 assist performance in a win over Jackson Liberty.

 

Zoey Smith, Sr., Lacey

It was business as usual for Smith, one of the most decorated offensive players in New Jersey history. She scored 8 goals against Howell, 9 goals and an assist against Red Bank Catholic, and 6 goals and an assist in a victory over rival Central. The Johns Hopkins commit is currently neck and neck with Sparta’s Uma Kowalski in the race for most goals among active New Jersey players. She currently has 347 career goals just 2 behind Kowalski. The next milestone will be points as she sits at 392 just 8 shy of the 400 milestone.

 

Aryelle Stein, So., Manalapan

Stein exploded for 10 goals in a win over Toms River North and then added 9 more goals in a win over Colts Neck. The sophomore currently has 75 points on the season which has already matched her total from last season.

 

Kelly Thoens, Sr., New Egypt

Thoens put together 3 extremely well-rounded games to help continue the Warriors unbeaten start to the season. The senior scored 4 goals, scooped 2 ground balls, won 2 draw controls, and forced 5 turnovers in a 12-9 victory over Donovan Catholic. She then scored 3 goals, tallied an assist, scooped 8 ground balls, won 6 draw controls, and forced 2 turnovers in a 19-9 win over South Brunswick. Finally, she added 3 more goals, 2 assists, 4 ground balls, 2 draw controls, and 2 forced turnovers in a win over Manchester.
